The Mid Peninsula School District is located in the central Upper Peninsula, hence the name Mid Peninsula. We have a long standing legacy of taking care of the whole child. We offer Daycare, Great Start (GSRP), K-12, and even an Early Middle College and 13th year of schooling in conjunction with Bay College.
The school district was formed in 1977 as a consolidation of two small rural K – 12 Districts. The former districts were Rock School District and the Baldwin Township School District.
The Mid Peninsula School District is compromised of four townships and covers an area of 332 square miles. The school is located ¼ mile west of M-35 on the St. Nicholas 31st Road which is two miles north of Perkins and six miles south of Rock.
The district has a student population comprised of Great Start Readiness Program and K – 12 all housed in a single building. The building has separate wings for K – 6 and 7 – 12. The multi – use room, gym, and office sit in the middle; separating the sides.
