Welcome Back, Wolverines!
We had a GREAT first day back at Mid Peninsula School!
It was wonderful to see our hallways full again and so many smiling faces coming through the doors. There is always a special kind of energy on the first day of school — new backpacks, new shoes, new schedules, and at least a few people trying to remember what day it is! 
Thank you to our families for helping us get the school year off to such a great start. We are excited for another outstanding year at Mid Pen!
Chromebook Agreements — Don't Forget!
All students need to have a signed Chromebook Agreement on file in order to use a school Chromebook.
Please watch for this form to come home with your child if you have not already completed one. We appreciate families returning these forms as soon as possible.
One form down...only approximately 437 school papers to go this year. 
(Okay, hopefully not quite that many!)
CTE Students — Here We Go!
Our 11th- and 12th-grade CTE students begin their programs this week!
Students will be released at 11:35 a.m. to eat lunch before boarding the CTE bus at 11:45 a.m.
CTE Students Who Plan to Drive
Students who plan to drive themselves to the ISD for CTE must have parent/guardian permission before doing so.
Please make sure permission is taken care of before your student drives to CTE.
We are excited for our students to take advantage of these hands-on learning opportunities this year!
Beep Beep! Student Drivers
Planning to drive yourself to school this year?
All student drivers need to pick up an “Application to Drive” from outside the office.
Complete the application and return it THIS WEEK.
Having a driver's license may give you permission to drive a car...but the application gives you permission to park it at Mid Pen.
Calling Our Future Student Council President!
Do you have a Junior or Senior who is a leader, has some great ideas, and wants to make a difference at Mid Pen?
We are looking for students interested in becoming our Student Council President for the 2026–27 school year!
Interested students should:
Pick up a petition form from the office
Complete the required petition
Return it by Thursday, August 27

FREE Sports Physicals!
Attention Wolverine athletes and families!
The Center for Youth Health & Wellness is once again offering FREE SPORTS PHYSICALS for area youth!
Parents/guardians can call (906) 786-1672 to schedule an appointment.
Remember: All student athletes must have a current physical on file in order to participate in school sports.
Free physical + ready to play = a pretty good deal! 
College-Bound Wolverines: Save the Date!
Stay Local, Go Far!
High school families, this is a great opportunity!
Bay College will host the MACAC & MACRAO College Fair Night, Stay Local, Go Far!
Students will have the opportunity to connect with representatives from more than 35 colleges and universities across Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota!

New Student Email Accounts
New students should now have their Mid Peninsula School email accounts.
If your child is new to Mid Pen and has not received their school email information, please let us know so we can get them set up.

What a Great Start!
Thank you to our students, families, staff, and community for helping us kick off another school year at Mid Peninsula!
The first week always brings a little excitement, a few schedule adjustments, some forgotten passwords, missing forms, questions about where to go, and plenty of learning as everyone settles back into the routine.
We appreciate everyone's patience and support as we get the year rolling.
It's going to be a GREAT year to be a Wolverine!
